- EU15 real agricultural income per worker declined by 3.8% in 2002. In the Euro-zone, real agricultural income per worker fell by 4.0%. The EU Statistical Office explained that the decline in the level of EU15 real agricultural income per worker was due to a reduction in real agricultural income (-6.6%) on the one hand, and to the continued reduction in the volume of agricultural labour input (-2.9%) on the other. The strongest falls were observed in Denmark (-24.4%), Germany (-19.5%), Ireland (-11.7%), the Netherlands (-10.0%) and Belgium (-8.0%). Agricultural income per worker was higher than in 2001 only in the United Kingdom (+6.8%), Greece (+5.4%) and Finland (+4.5%).
