12/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana has welcomed the election of Svetozar Marovic as President of Serbia and Montenegro, and of Dragoljub Micunovic as President of the Parliament, the first two people to hold these offices at the head of the new Union. "My intention is to lend all our support to your efforts to consolidate the new State and to bring it closer to the EU", he said.
