150 million euro to repair damage caused by Prestige shipwreck

Luxembourg, 12/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) announced on Tuesday that it was to make 150 million euro available to fund the repair of damage caused by the shipwreck of the oil tanker "Prestige" in Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria, the three worst-affected regions. The operation will be implemented via the securitisation of assets from Caixa Galicia, Caixnova and Caja Cantabria, to the value of a further 150 million euro.
