Safeguard against too harsh penalties for unfair practices abroad

Brussels, 07/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The EU has endowed its trade protection with another regulation for preventing too harsh penalties on foreign businesses guilty of unfair trading. The regulation, which the Council adopted without debate, will be published soon in the Official Journal. It will guarantee that the global safeguard, anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures will not be greater than planned.
