07/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Cicero Foundation headed by Marcel Van Herpen is organising, for 10 and 11 April in Paris, a conference on the theme "Oil and Foreign Policy: The Future of Energy Supply and its Impact on the Transatlantic Relationship". Themes covered will include: the role of the Commission in administering oil emergency stocks of the EU Member States; the EU-Russia energy partnership; the case of Venezuela; French and Russian interests in Iraq after a war; oil in the Caspian Sea and the North Sea, and the role of Saudi Arabia as a "Central Oil Banker".
