24/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - In two weeks, over 300,000 people have responded to the "e-vote" initiative launched by the Greek Presidency, EU Council President Georges Papandreou told his colleagues on Monday. Among the main results of this consultation, according to a Presidency press release: - more than 70% of e-voters think that the EU, and their own country, are generally moving in the right direction today; - by far the biggest concern of 47% of the citizens are economic problems, whereas terrorism is only the biggest concern for 3% of those who responded; - according to 84% of the voters, the EU should have a larger and more active role in world affairs; - 64% think that the UN weapons inspectors should be given more time in Iraq.
