Commission to recover EUR 92.94 million from Member States guilty of misspending CAP expenditure

Brussels, 14/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission decided to recover a total of EUR 92.94 million of EU farm money misspent by a number of Member States under CAP. The money is to be recovered because of inadequate control procedures or non-compliance with EU rules on agricultural expenditure. Germany is to reimburse EUR 24.44 million for unsatisfactory control in the arable crops sector; Italy EUR 26.26 million for considerable payment delays (14.49) and major...
