EP encourages Member States to strengthen their policies for preventing drug-related health risks

Strasbourg, 14/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament is encouraging the Member States to base their policies for the prevention and reduction of drug-related health risks on local action adapted to the various kinds of drug abuse. With 391 votes to 48 and 34 abstentions, a very large majority of MEPs adopted the report by Greek Socialist Minerva Malliori on a Council's proposal of recommendation for the prevention and reduction of drug-related risks.
