Resumption of tax receipt payments by Israel to Palestinian Authority makes EU aid superfluous states Mr Laschet

Brussels, 05/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the CDU MEP Armin Laschet welcomes the announcement, on Tuesday, of the resumption of payments by Israel to the Palestinian Authority of around EUR 57 million in arrears from tax receipts. This seems to anticipate a progressive normalisation of financial cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians, underlines the MEP, for whom this new situation must incite Commissioner Patten to follow through from what he stated in his letter...
