Brussels, 05/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commissioner for equal opportunities, Anna Diamantopoulou, in collaboration with the European monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia of Vienna, is organising a second high-level round table in Brussels on 6 February on Combating Islamophobia. Recommendations are expected, notably in the fields of politics, justice, education, the media and the responsibility of civil society, including religious communities. The first round table which had as subject anti-Semitism, took place in December 20022 (see EUROPE of 7 December, p.17). the final round table will take place in March of this year: it will turn to the recommendations of the first two meetings and be devoted to inter-cultural dialogue (Information: : http://www.eumc.eu.int ).
