ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) real estate

The Italian firms QUARTA and ASTRIM have made a joint 1.2 bn euro hostile bid for a 75% stake in the Spanish real estate group METROVACESA. QUARTA and ASTRIM are offering 25 euro a share. This bid counters the plans of Spain's BAMI which acquired a 23.9% stake in METROVACESA last summer with the idea of merging.
