Carlos Ruckauf criticises European and American farm subsidies

Brussels, 23/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - On an official visit to Brussels, Argentina's Foreign Minister Carlos Federico Ruckauf considered that the new Commission proposals for reforming CAP are "interesting" but is waiting to see what "lies behind" them. He criticised the European Union and US farm subsidies, which give rise to a "war between giants" at the WTO, destroying "a large part of international trade".
