In support of internal market for health care products and services

Strasbourg, 16/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption, on Wednesday, of the report by Mario Mantovani (Forza Italia), the European Parliament took a stance in favour of creating an internal market for healthcare products and services as well as in favour of strengthening Community cooperation with regards improved healthcare for the elderly to face the challenges of an ageing population (see summary of the report in EUROPE of 11 January, p.12).
