Commission defines priorities for co-operation with Pakistan and earmarks EUR 71 million for next three years

Brussels, 16/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission adopted the National Indicative Programme for Pakistan, outlining co-operation with Pakistan over the next three years 2003-2005. The sum of € 71 million has been earmarked to finance the EC co-operation strategy priorities approved by Pakistan.

Education: €59 million are allocated to improve access to and enhance the quality of basic education in Sindh and Northern Pakistan.
