Brussels, 16/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 17 January, the EU ministerial troika will have talks in Athens with Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha on developments since last October's summit (including the fight against terrorism and drug smuggling), as well as preparations for the 4th EU/India Summit, scheduled for the second half of 2003 in India.
The EU delegation is being led by Council President Georges Papandreou and made up of Margherita Boniver, Italian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (Italy holds the next presidency), Council Secretary General/High Representative Javier Solana and the Commissioner for external relations Chris Patten. The latte, according to a press release, intends on that occasion proposing a "structured brainstorming" so as full to develop the potential of reciprocal relations.
