Eurobarometer poll says citizens know about their right to complain to the European Ombudsman

Brussels, 23/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - A recent Eurobarometer poll reveals that 87% of European citizens correctly believe that they have the right to complain to the European Ombudsman, making this the second best known right of citizenship of the Union. Commenting on the poll, Jacob Söderman declared: "We have worked hard to inform citizens of their right to complain. This survey confirms that our communication strategy is working.
