Brussels, 11/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission proposed significant reductions in total allowable catches (TACs) in 2003 in order to come out of the cod crisis and thus fend off a moratorium on fishing this species and other white fish stocks (haddock and whiting).
