ARCELOR, the company created through the merger between USINOR, ACERALIA and ARBED, is going to sell its steel sheet metal activities at BEAUTOR and SORRAL to Italo-Swiss steel producer DUFERCO. This operation is part of the agreement reached with the European Commission to sell off some of its activities in order to get the green light for the creation of ARCELOR. The deal will be worth up to EUR 45 million.
