Net budgetary surpluses for ten candidates in 2004-2006, Presidency offers

Brussels, 11/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Offers made by the Danish Presidency for the ten candidate countries that are due to be presented in Copenhagen on Thursday evening (see above) exceed the EUR 1.6 billion costs of the financial package drawn up by Member States during the Brussels Summit in October but remains almost EUR 2 billion below the budgetary ceiling set in Berlin in 1999 in the context of Agenda 2000.
