11/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Russian Federation signed, on 6 December, a framework agreement governing loans from the Bank in favour of projects located in the Federation of Russia. This agreement comes after the decision by the Stockholm Summit where the EU Heads of State and Government had given the EIB the mandate to contribute, by way of EUR 100 million, in the financing of environmental investment located in north western Russia.
