Brussels, 30/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The members of the EP Committee on Industry, chaired by Spanish Socialist Carlos Westendorp, seized the opportunity provided by the first meeting of their committee after the summer break to react, somewhat harshly, to the Council compromise reached in July on temporarily freezing the funding for human embryonic stem cell research.
