Mr Papoutsis asks for EU support for Olympic Games

Brussels, 30/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - Christos Papoutsis, a candidate in the October elections for the mayor's seat of Athens, met on Wednesday in Brussels members of the European Commission and of the European Parliament. He requested their support for his effort to secure European Union funding for the Olympic Games of 2004, the first to be financed in euros.
