The HI3G group, a joint venture of the Hong Kong conglomerate HUTCHISON WHAMPOA and Swedish INVESTOR, has proposed the acquisition, for a sum of nearly EUR 90 million, of the mobile phone activities including a third generation licence, that the Swedish operator TELIA is to sell in Finland in order to be able to merge with SONERA. The Finnish mobile phone operations of TELIA are evaluated at around EUR 88 million.
