Karlsberg and Brauholding given the go-ahead on a joint venture

Brussels, 27/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorized the creation of a joint venture by the German brewer Karslberg and the Germano-Dutch firm Brauholding International. The new venture will mainly be active in brewing and beer wholesaling in Germany, but it will face particularly strong competition on that market. It will also operate in other Member States, namely the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Greece, but its market share in these countries...
