Commission foresees authorising United Airlines/Lufthansa/SAS and KLM/Northwest alliances in air sector

Brussels, 26/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is preparing to authorise alliances in the air sector between United Airlines-Lufthansa and SAS ("Star Alliance"), on one hand, and KLM and Northwest Alliances ("Wings Alliance"), on the other hand. Two separate notes for each of the two alliances will soon be the subject of a publication in the Official Journal as a call for comments from parties interested.
