Strasbourg, 19/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - Adopting in first reading the report by Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo y Marfill (EPP, Spain) on the Fiscalis 2007 programme, the European Parliament tightened budgetary control of the programme by introducing a VAT system based on the country of origin.
