Commission launches series of workshops on human rights and democracy

Brussels, 10/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has launched a series of workshops the objective of which is to present EU policies and programmes on democracy and human rights throughout the world. The first workshop, which opened in Amman (Jordan) on 10 June, was devoted on the regional role of Arab civil society in fostering democratisation and human rights.
