10/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - In an interview in Friday's edition of Valeurs actuelles, French agriculture and fisheries minister Hervé Gaymard criticised "one-size" solutions proposed by the European Commission for the fishing industry, saying that France, and also Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and even Ireland would be hardest hit by the proposals that seem to suit north European countries' fishing industry. (See EUROPE of 8 June, p.13 for Commissioner Fischler's statements.)
