Infringement procedure against Germany over light quadricycles

Brussels, 16/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - On 15 May, the European Commission sent Germany a reasoned opinion calling on it to review its legislation on the driving licences required to drive light quadricycles. These are vehicles of less than 350 kg, the maximum speed of which is limited to 45 km/h and of no more that 500 CCs for engines with automatic starters or whose maximum power does not exceed 4kw/h for other types of engines.
