16/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of the report by Spanish Socialist Carlos Westendorp, the European Parliament approved the Council's decision to attribute additional macro-financial aid to Ukraine. The aid will take the form of a loan of EUR 110 million reimbursable over 15 years. It essentially corresponds (92 million) to a pledge dating back to 1998 but which remained unimplemented at the time for reasons linked to the evolution of Ukraine's financial situation.
