Strasbourg, 10/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - Adopting with a few amendments the report by German EPP MEP Christian Ulrik von Boetticher on the gradual scrapping of border controls, the EP supported the initiative by Belgium, Spain and France to expand the group of people who can be monitored at borders (friends and partners, for example). At the same time, it called for better and simplified cross-border monitoring of people suspected of involvement in a crime (organised crime, clandestine...
