According to the Reuters Agency, the KIRCH group, which is in major financial difficulty, may soon sell 16% of the capital of the Spanish channel TELECINCO, of which it holds 25%, in order to reimburse part of its debt. With the same aim in mind, the media group could propose that automobile manufacturers enter the capital of SLEC, a company that owns the rights of automobile grands prix, held at 58.5%. Finally, The Financial Times states that KIRCH may sell KIRCHMEDIA to NEWS GROUP, the group belonging to businessman Rupert Murdoch. See also EI of 15 February.
