Strasbourg, 11/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - With its adoption, last Thursday in Strasbourg, of two reports by Sergio Marques (PPE/DE, P), the European Parliament approved, with some amendments, two proposals for: - authorising France to apply a reduced rate of excise duties on "traditional" rum produced in its overseas departments; - authorising Portugal to reduce excise duties on rum and liqueurs produced and consumed in Madeira and taxes on liqueurs and eaux-de-vie produced and consumed in...
