ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) perfume

France's MARIONNAUD (EUR 882 million turnover in 2001, up 50.4%) has bought up three exclusive perfume chains INA, DIVA and PRIVILEGES, which between them have 107 sales points in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, making up an pre-tax annual turnover of around EUR 40 million. The deal gives MARIONNAUD lead position in a network of 950 perfume shops in 12 different countries.
