Brussels, 23/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council has adopted a regulation to introduce a double control system without any quantitative limits for the import of various steel products for the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The system has already been set up in theory under Protocol No. 2 of the interim agreement on trade and accompanying measures between the EU and FYROM which came into force on 1 June 2001, replacing a similar system under the previous co-operation agreement.
