Brussels, 17/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - In the context of the stabilisation and association process and the CARDS programme, the European Commission adopted on Wednesday last an aid programme for Bosnia-Herzegovina. Aid of EUR 172.4 million covers the next three years (2002-2004). The funds are intended to finance the following priorities: - democratic stabilisation (including the programmes for return of refugees and media reform); - strengthening of the administrative capacity (including the reform of customs and taxation as well as the development of the State institutions); - economic and social development; - environment and natural resources; - justice and home affairs (including programmes for the administration of justice, police, asylum and migration).
