Agreement on fixing seven TACs

Brussels, 17/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission and Norway concluded an agreement on the management between the two parties of certain fish stocks, but not on blue whiting: - cod (49,300 tonnes, of which 7,880 for Norway and 41,420 for the EU); - haddock (104,000 tonnes, 21,725 and 82,275 respectively), saithe (135,000 tones, 70,200 and 64,800 respectively); - whiting (41,000 tonnes, 4,100d tonnes for Norway and 36,900 for the EU); - plaice (77,000 tonnes, with 3,890 for Norway and 73,110 tonnes for the EU); - mackerel (72,944 tonnes, i.e. 47,386 for Norway and 23,693 for the EU), herring (265,000 tonnes, of which 76,850 for Norway and 188,150 for the EU).
