European Parliament endorses Belgian Presidency's comprise on telecoms package

Strasbourg, 12/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Parliament finally adopted the reports by Reino Paasilinna (PES, Finland), Renato Brunetta (EPP-ED, Italy), Angelika Niebler (EPP-ED, Germany) and Malcolm Harbour (EPP-ED, UK) along with compromise amendments tabled by the Belgian Presidency on the telecoms package (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.11).
