Brussels, 06/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Spanish Socialist Enrique Baron was re-elected on Wednesday as president of the Socialist Group at the European Parliament, a post that he has held since July 1999. Mr Baron, who was Transport Minister in the first government under Felipe Gonzalez, has been MEP since 1986, the date when Spain joined the EU.
