EUR 3.3 million in aid for Central America

Brussels, 06/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has taken two decisions to grant emergency humanitarian aid to Central America, namely a) EUR 2.3 million of food aid for the victims of the drought that has been devastating parts of Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua for more than two years now; and b) EUR 1 million for the victims of Hurricane Michelle in Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba and Jamaica (for evacuating danger areas; the shipment and distribution and food rations, basic...
