Commission investigates aid for Infineon Technologies

Brussels, 29/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has launched a formal investigation procedure concerning EUR 219 million that Germany is planning to provide for Infineon Technologies SC 300 GmbH&Co. The aid was notified in May 2001 under the Multisectoral Framework on regional aid for large investment projects. The project comprises the construction of a new plant in Dresden producing DRAMs (Dynamic Random Access Memory) with a storage capacity of 512 megabits or more. Germany asserts...
