Parliament approved Euro-Mediterranean agreement with Egypt, but calls for progress in terms of human rights

Brussels, 29/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - By adopting, on Thursday in Brussels, the report by the French Gaullist Huges Martin, the European Parliament gave (429 for, 11 against and 58 abstentions) its assent for the signing of the Euro-Mediterranean agreement establishing an association between the European Community and its Member States and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
