Brussels, 28/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted a proposal of directive defining the criteria for banning the noisiest aircraft and repealing the "hushkit" regulation. On this basis, the United States should withdraw its complaint filed in March 2000 with the International Civil Aviation Organisation against the hushkit regulation (see EUROPE of 31 October, p;9).
