Strasbourg, 15/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Parliament adopted during first reading, by 284 to 230 and 31 abstentions, the report by Georg Jarzembowski on opening port services up to competition. The main changes concern the exclusion of pilotage services from the proposal and the transparency of subsidies paid to European ports.
