ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

FORTUM, the largest energy group in Finland, has taken total control of the Swedish group BIRKA ENERGI, Sweden's third largest energy group, paying SEK 14.5 bn for the 50% it still did not own. The shares were bought from the City of Stockholm which had already sold FORTUM the first 50% three years ago.
