Eurozone and EU15 unemployment stable in September

Luxembourg, 07/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to Eurostat, eurozone seasonally-adjusted unemployment was unchanged at 8.3% in September 2001 compared with August (and 8.6% in September 2000). In the EU as a whole (EU15) unemployment was 7.6% in September, unchanged on August (8.0% in September 2000). The lowest rates were registered in the Netherlands (2.2% in August), Luxembourg (2.5%), Ireland (3.8%), Austria (3.9%), Denmark (4.3% in August) and Portugal (4.4%). Spain's 13.0% remained...
