30/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - A communiqué from the Partito Radicale Transnazionale on Tuesday revealed that an Italian diplomat based in Vientane had had his visit to five Radical Party prisoners, including MEP Olivier Dupuis, banned. The prisoners have been held since last Friday for having attended a pro-democracy demonstration in Laos. (See yesterday's issue of EUROPE pp 6 for details).
