Brussels, 30/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the following operations: the creation of a joint venture by BP and Solvay companies in the polythene resin sector and BP's acquisition of Solvay's polypropylene activities; the buy-out of French car filter company, Filtrauto by its market competitor, Sogefi; the buy-out of Pernod Ricard by Cadbury Schweppes in the refreshing drinks sector.
