Bundestag ratifies Treaty

Brussels, 18/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - By a large majority on Thursday (570 to 32), the German Bundestag ratified the Nice Treaty. The draft ratification law will now be transmitted to the Bundesrat (Germany's upper parliamentary chamber) which is expected to pass it in the next three weeks or so.
