The Italian Internet group RISCALI has paid the Belgian BELGACOM 5 million euro for the Internet access business (INFONIE) and portals business (LOKACE) belonging to its French subsidiary INFOSOURCES (operational loses of 45.9 million euro for sales of 24.8 million in 2000). An additional 5 million euro earn-out could be paid depending on the number of active subscribers INFONIE has on 31 January 2002. INFONIE claims 250,000 subscribers to date.
